Suntech Solar Panels

Suntech Solar Panels & PV Modules

Suntech aren’t your average solar panel.

Suntech modules are purpose-built to optimally adapt to living and sun conditions, regardless of where in Australia you live or work. From bright, sunny days to the most extreme environments, our solar products deliver energy to power your home or business.

Suntech guarantees a 97% power output in the first year, with nominal output decreases of no more than 0.7% through the module’s 25th year. Thereby one ends with 80.2% nominal power guaranteed in the 25th year after the defined warranty starting date.

  • Aesthetic appearance design – Elegant design in all-black appearance, harmonious integration with the components of the building to provide an intense aesthetic experience.
  • Lightweight double glass – Lightweight double glass structure which effectively reduces the rate of module breakage. The ideal module size and weight make handling and installation easier.
  • Withstand harsh environments – Reliable quality that makes module resistant even to high temperatures, salt water and ammonia.
  • Extended wind and snow load tests – Module certified to withstand extreme wind (3800 Pascal) and snow loads (6000 Pascal)*.

Why choose Suntech for solar power?

  • Excellent weak light performance – more power output in weak light condition, such as haze, cloudy, and morning.
  • Lower operating temperature – lower operating temperature and temperature coefficient increases the power output.
  • Suntech current sorting process– system output maximized by reducing mismatch losses up to 2% with modules sorted & packaged by amperage.
  • Extended wind and snow load tests – module certified to withstand extreme wind (3800 Pascal) and snow loads (5400 Pascal).
  • Withstanding harsh environment  – Reliable quality leads to a better sustainability even in harsh environment like desert, farm and coastline.
  • Rigorous quality control – meeting the highest international standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO17025
  • Regular independently checked production process – from international accredited institute/company
  • Unique cell design – leads to reduced electrodes resistance and smaller current, thus enables higher fill factor

Suntech was the first company to sell modules in Australia that came with a 25-year warranty and power output guarantee, and Suntech were the second company to do so. If you want guaranteed performance and reliability from your system then these are good brands to go for. We have a team of solar installers who have years of experience with Suntech cell technologies.

How are Suntech solar panels better than the competition?

Suntech solar panels were one of the first to offer a 25-year warranty and power output guarantee along with now offering a manufacturers warranty of 15Yrs – they continue to be leaders in this area. Their state-of-the-art panel production facility allows them to produce high-quality solar panels at an extremely affordable price. They have an excellent efficiency rating and can withstand heavy wind. Suntech Solar became the largest solar panel manufacturer in the world during 2011, shipping 24 million units internationally.

Suntech Company History

Suntech Solar was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Wuxi, China. Their Australian office is based out of Chatswood, in North Sydney, New South Wales Australia. Suntech Power was founded by Shi Zhengrong in 2001 and grew to become the world’s largest solar panel producer by 2011, with a production capacity of 2.4 gigawatts.

Suntech has quickly established itself as one of the biggest global suppliers of high-performance solar modules and inverters. They also boast a high commitment to solar power R&D and have been involved in a number of important grid-tied projects around the world. This research has allowed their solar power and solar inverter products to be a popular choice in the solar market for decades.

Suntech Solar’s mission is simple: Design, engineer and manufacture high-performance solar products for use in utility, commercial and residential applications to make clean energy accessible to everyone. Suntech has built its reputation by focusing on quality, making them one of the world’s three largest solar panel manufacturers, each product is backed by an attractive performance warranty.

Shi Zhengrong studied at Shanghai University, where he earned a Masters in “lasers.” He then continued his education at the University of New South Wales, where he received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. He obtained Australian citizenship and then returned to China in 2001 to establish Suntech, despite not obtaining both investors and government assistance there.

Suntech shattered several records in August 2009, when it became the most efficient polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar cells in the world. They continue to this day to be an excellent long term investment for those looking for modern cell technologies with great product warranty and easy warranty claims.

Suntech Solar Panel Features

SolarTech cell technology converts the maximum amount of solar energy from a property’s valuable roof space, resulting in high module efficiency.

They’re built to last in high-humidity, hot environments like the Australian environment. To improve PID resistance, they add high-volume resistant EVA to limit sodium ion movement from the cell surface to the glass.

Even on overcast or shortened winter days, their solar panels consistently deliver excellent performance. The high-efficiency, high-performance panel is made by Suntech using its proprietary “Edge Insulation Process” technique.

A power class category is assigned to each Suntech module. When two modules with the same class are positioned together, they produce an extra 2% more power.

To withstand a minimum wind speed of 162km/h, Solartech fabricates and tests its solar panels. That’s more than three times the speed limit of IEC’s minimum requirement for safety factor 3 (30 km/h).

SunTech panels have wider frame cavities, which allow them to resist impacts up to four times their weight at a higher speed than IEC testing, very important when considering the solar system for your Western Sydney home.
