They can charge quickly, a 10kWh battery with a 7.7kW charger could charge in approx. 1.5 hours. Solar batteries are worth it for large families using significant power in the evening, homes with pool pumps, electric hot water, or air conditioning, or those in areas with frequent blackouts.
While your solar production peaks during midday, energy usage is highest in the morning and evening. With storage, you can save the energy you produce for when you need it most. Please note due to safety and technical reasons, solar panels will not produce electricity during a blackout.
